HOLISTIC PRACTICE
PHILOSOPHY
"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything."
- Lao Tzu
My practice incorporates a wide range of modalities because I have a passion for healing and for learning. I bring together healing methods that are Eastern and Western, traditional and cutting edge, physical and energetic, to support each patient in their personal quest for better health and vitality.
As a licensed acupuncturist, I provide acupuncture, cupping, and moxibustion. As a chiropractor, my services include craniosacral therapy, visceral and neural manipulation, and brain-based therapies and exercises. I have studied functional medicine, as well as both eastern and western nutrition and herbology, and can provide nutritional counseling as well as specific herbal and supplement recommendations. Everything I practice is united by a common philosophy: respecting and supporting the body's ability to heal itself.

My educational background includes a Doctor of Chiropractic and a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southern California University of Health Sciences. I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from New York University. I hold a certification in BioIndividual Nutrition and trained extensively in Visceral Manipulation and Neural Manipulation with the Barral Institute, and in CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute and the Rolf Institute.
In 2021 I completed my CACCP, a 200 hour certification in chiropractic care from pregnant women, babies, and children.

I live in Manhattan Beach with my husband and our 19 year old son. Nothing has inspired me to learn as much as our son's Autism diagnosis at age two, and the tremendous amount of progress he has made through the help of so many people and healing modalities.
ACUPUNCTURE
CHIROPRACTIC
Acupuncture uses very fine needles to stimulate the movement of Qi, or energy, as it travels through the meridians of the body.
Chiropractic is founded on the vitalistic principle that the body is a self healing organism.
-
Focuses on alleviating symptoms AND finding the root of the problem.
-
Diagnoses and treats by looking for constitutional imbalances and correcting them.
-
Stimulates the body's production of pain-killing and anti-inflammatory substances.
-
Balances the nervous system and returns the body to homeostasis.
-
Strengthens the immune system to fight off future illnesses.
-
Can treat many issues, including acute and chronic pain, anxiety, infertility, insomnia, headaches and more.

-
Chiropractic adjustment reduces stress on the nervous system so that the body can regain optimal performance.
-
Emphasis on the alignment and function of the spine, which houses the spinal cord, the main pathway for communication between the brain and the rest of the body.
-
Well deserved reputation as treatment of choice for back and neck pain.
-
Can treat other musculoskeletal complaints, as well as positively impact the whole person by balancing the nervous system.
My practice focuses on the sensitive use of very fine needles to stimulate the movement of Qi. Acupressure, magnets, cupping, moxibustion, and other therapies may also be used to support healing.
My practice focuses on gentle adjustments and manual therapies. Exercise and other modalities may also be used to support healing.
MOXIBUSTION
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
CUPPING THERAPY
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of treating the craniosacral system: the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Releasing restrictions improves central nervous system function, which creates greater ease, and provides relief from stress and residual trauma.
Craniosacral Therapy promotes a deep relaxation and feeling of peace. It is also especially helpful for:
-
Anxiety
-
Headaches
-
Learning disabilities
-
Concussions
-
Traumatic brain injuries
-
Chronic fatigue
-
Pain
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. It is not painful, and people generally enjoy treatment. Blood flow is increased, which speeds healing, and may leave temporary marks on the skin. Cupping may help to break up congestion, lower pain or inflammation, and promote relaxation and well-being.
Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which dried plant materials called "moxa" are burned on or very near the surface of the skin. The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences.
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE
VISCERAL MANIPULATION
The function of our organs is directly impacted by the structures surrounding and supporting them. Visceral Manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that assesses the structural relationships between the viscera, and their attachments within the body.
These manipulations can potentially improve the functioning of individual organs, as well as the systems the organs function within, such as the respiratory, digestive, nervous and endocrine systems. Addressing structural restrictions of the viscera is an often overlooked key component of healing.

Chinese herbalism is one of the most ancient and elaborate herbal systems in the world. It dates back to the 3rd century B.C., yet also consistently performs well under modern scientific research. Herbs consist of dried plant, mineral, and animal products that are combined in a formula to work synergistically. A consultation involves tongue and pulse diagnosis, as well as reviewing your health concerns and history. Formulas may be prescribed as capsules, granules, or teas. We use only sources that are verified for purity, and dietary concerns (i.e. vegetarian, gluten-free) are always honored.
